Biographical
Loyd Searle is a Senior Consultant and President of The Value Sell which was founded in 2001 to help executives understand how to create small manageable transitions to produce cumulative effects that are large. Searle creates and implements strategies for awareness, consideration/trial in both the traditional world of marketing, and in business-to-business e-commerce. Mr. Searle's experience includes more than twenty years of leadership in marketing and sales of complex, intangible, and high technology products and services. Throughout the 80s, he worked on hundreds of projects solving diverse and complex problems while leading High Tech Promotions, Inc., a high technology marketing consulting agency. One client grew 600% within one quarter, and another client became the 7th fastest growing company in New England. Mr. Searle has worked within many industries, for example in High Technology—Raytheon, Analogic, and National Micronetics, in Industrial—Vitronics, Morton Thiokol, and Colonial Gas, in Instrumentation—Panametrics, and in Professional Services— Sullivan Bille.
Loyd Searle is a strategic thinker and also executes strategy as a skilled writer and creative director. He has researched, written, and published feature articles in prestigious journals like STRATEGY AND LEADERSHIP, IEEE SPECTRUM, ELECTRONICS, and SOLID STATE TECHNOLOGY. Many of his previous clients still rely on his creative or visual communications, and after many years continue to utilize his work. Current engagements involve solutions for building intranet/extranet site presence, e-newsletters, purposeful communities, corporate identity, and brand development.
Mr. Searle received his BA from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, with distinction in Persuasion Theory, and since 1996, has served as a board member of the Strategic Leadership Forum, Boston Chapter of the International Society of Strategic Management and Leadership. As Director of Marketing and Communications, Loyd played an instrumental role in the strategic re-positioning and packaging of the Forum's monthly programs.
